My Review

Before I proceed to "showcase" the pictures I have took, I would really like to show this two pictures. Originated from the same picture, I wasn't able to decide which edited version is better, thus, I decided to show both pictures. Noticed the flower? It was a pity I couldn't see it blossom in the drink... Yesh! Finally after 1 month plus.... Yesterday I went shopping @ Orchard. Actually I have been there for quite a number of times since the Xmas decoration was up but then I didn't have my camera with me... Not wanting to carry a very bulky lens(ok not that bulky BUT) I choose my 50mm f/1.8 to go along with me... There were a lot more that I wanted to capture, but I was trying to figure out HOW I should captured it... Okay.. This is not in Orchard.. It's the Xmas decoration @ Bugis... I went there before going Orchard but it was still bright daylight.. Thus, I didn't took much photos of the Xmas decorations... After meeting up with my friend, I went Taka

My phototaking kaki not in SG! muahaha.. So I am posting misc shots that I have captured (again). Hope I didn't repost any pictures.... This shot was taken when I got my 50mm. I was trying out the manual focusing and took a trial shot. Turned out to be quite nice The red mosqitoe in my kitchen! Wanted to kill it but in the end I forgot after taking a few shots of it... I hope it went out of my house This lizard is so small that I didn't noticed it initially.. Luckily I didn't step on it.. After taking a number of snaps, it still stay at the same place... I tried to force it to leave but it stayed put. So in the end, I can only try to NOT step on it. See this small bottle with this transparent, small round thing? It will expand to the size of those in green and purple. Amazing? It will shrink back to it original size if you leave it in the open space and then grow once water is given My advance Xmas gift... Finally managed to get a snap of it with the snowflake still moving.

Armed with my 50mm f/1.8 lens in my D40 Nikon body, I went around taking trial shots to get some proof of just how good this lens it. Due to being too embarrass to take picture when there is many people/in shopping mall, I made my way out of Suntec City and I saw the below. Trying to capture the whole thing within one shot was impossible due to my lens, so I actually stitch it and it just somehow look like a round board instead of the original rectangular shaped. It's just so amazing! Although I will get better (close up) of the flower if I have my 55-200mm, but 50mm is definitely excellent in capturing moving things! Just take a look at the below flower, it was actually moving due to wind! All I did was to focus and snap and here you go.. the flower is not OOF! If I was using 55-200mm lens, I doubt I will be able to get the same shot (okay, I know if we are looking @ macro, then that might not be the case) Another nice flower! Finally got my second lens. Although I have to use manual control, but something slightly happier is that IF I decided to upgrade my camera body, I might be able to use the AF mode.
