We had wanted to go Yilan but cancelled our plan for a day to shop in Taipei.
After our breakfast, we headed to Wu Fen Pu via metro blue line to Houshanpi (後山埤Station. It wasn't difficult to go to Wu Fen Pu but the shops weren't opened yet. Formosa Chang (鬍鬚張) was just around the corner and it was eating time again. This was one of the highly recommended place so must eat!!

Formosa Chang 鬍鬚張

Note: The menu has a set meal (make up of 1 soup, 2 sides and 1 main, below are 2 sets), it is put together for easy ordering. Prices are the same as you ordered them ala carte, so we requested for only 1 egg instead of 2.

 Daikon Soup

Braised Minced Meat Rice

Pork Cutlet

Saba Fish

Green bean with Barley

Even after our lunch, we at around 12.30pm, many shops were still not opened. We walked many rounds before more stores opened.

The quiet street

Shops opened

The shops have packs of apparels stack-folded and placed at their storefront. I am not sure if we could ransacked them but I have a feeling I won't be able to find what I can wear in those stacks... so I never attempt to. Raohe Night Market is actually just around the corner BUT!!! It was still early so (again) we gave Raohe Night Market a miss... Maybe next year?

After an hour of walking around Wu Fen Pu, we headed for Eslite 誠品書店 @ Zhongxiao Dunhua 忠孝敦化 in search of my books. I could only get 2nd and 3rd volume but luckily, it seemed that bookstores in Taiwan are much easier to find. I found the 1st volume when I went over to Taichung!!

Eslite 誠品書店

Unknowingly, our load was slowly building up. Because after buying books, I bought comics and followed by masks!

Yes! Beauty products are a good buy in Taiwan. Prices are competitive and at times with good deals such as buy 1 box, free 1 box. Do your homework on the price and buy from trusted source. Apart from Watson, I also purchased my beauty products from Cosmed 康是美 in Taiwan.

At Watson or Cosmed, their staffs are very informative and they were quick to share promotions related to the products or their in store deals so you will not missed out any great deals!

With our load, we headed back to our rest place.
The rain...

After a short break, we headed to Taipei Main Underground Shopping Street 台北地下街 for our early dinner. Fortunately, the crowd was not as many as I had expected. We were given a few choices from Japanese to Korean to local delicacies to Indonesia food...

We went for hotplate.

After dinner, we headed for the nearest Night Market.. Ningxia Night Market 寧夏夜市. Going Ningxia from Taipei Main Station is either to walk or just take the metro red line to Zhongshan station 中山 or Shuanglian Station 雙連站 and walk.

It was still drizzling when we reached Ningxia Night Market. We walked through the night market without eating as we didn't craved for the snacks.. :'(

We walked from Ningxia Night Market to Taipei Main Station and was back to the place where we had breakfast. We chanced upon this donut place and I bought it almost immediately.
Original flavor (NT$20) - I can keep going for more!!

Before we head for Taichung, it's Gyoza time again!
Original Flavored Gyoza @ NT$5 each (We bought 10)

Congrats to myself~~ Accomplished my 8600 steps!!
