Day 5 Half Day Tour from Taipei - Shiding Tea Township

Changed of hotel to Cosmos Hotel Taipei and it was just less than 5 minutes cab ride away with cab fare of NT $110!

After a swift drop-our-luggage at the hotel (since it wasn't time for check-in), time for lunch!

At Taipei main station, we were spoilt from choices. Had planned to try Dim Dim Sum and I am glad we did. It was really great! We came around 11+ am close to 12pm. After we were settled in, the queue stayed forming. The best was the noodle, the shrimp roll and the liu sha bao.

(We ate before I took the picture)

Spent NT1085 in total for our lunch at Dim Dim Sum.

Took a half day tour via Klook to Thousand Island Lake and Pinglin Tea Plantation. Met up with our tour guide and we were supposed to have a group of 5 with 2 people lesser because they didn't turned up. Travelled in a 7 seater sedan, we were brought to the various locations stated in the itinerary (and finally we felt like we were tourists as we were brought to places that we hardly go to.)

Arrived at the spot for photo taking and there was a stall selling 茶叶蛋 for NT 20 each.

A tea appreciate session with the fifth generation tea plantation farmers where we sipped the oolong tea.

The whole trip ended around 6pm and we requested to drop off at Taipei 101, one of the 2 stated drop off point.

Alighted at Taipei 101

We had a thing with food court at shopping mall! So our dinner was at the Taipei 101's food court.

Beef steak+ rice bowl combo (NT299)

Dessert (NT70)

Nt 200 Chicken Thigh + Braised Rice Set (NT200)

Travelling back from Taipei 101 station to Taipei main station was easy. And upon alighting the station, head for exit M4, turn left and just a minute walk away is the hotel we were staying at.

Day 4 Shopping at Sing Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei

A day of shopping at Taipei Main Station

So it's just food and shop and food. Started the day with breakfast in hotel.

Light Breakfast @ Hotel.

Quick walk across the Huashan 1914 Creative Park.

Our only destination for the day: Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei. First thing: Eat at food court at B1 before shopping!

We had Cheese Cutlet (NT250)

After shopping inside the mall, we walked around 3 mins to this place called 北北车 for it's braised pork rice. (At the recommendation from the Porter staff)

It's nice! NT 150 for 2 bowls of Braised Pork rice, 1 soup and 1 braised tofu.

And here comes the drinks! I wanted to look for the Oolong Tea Project as I have been seeing outlets of them wherever I went. And tada! Indeed there was yet another outlet just around the corner. At the service crew recommendations for a lighter version of tea, I got the Spring Oolong tea for NT35.

Right around the corners were many cart food seller, and I couldn't resist my favourite mochi!

A pack of peanut coated mochi (NT60)

Ended our day with 凉粉! Been looking for this and it was really nice! But I cannot remember which mall I got it from, but it was at the mall basement. I need to go back for more!

Day 3 Taipei - Tamsui

A revisit to Tamsui.

We started our day with breakfast at hotel before heading out. We couldn't resist the egg crepe temptation so we went for one before we proceed to the train station.

Egg crepe

Soy milk

Rice Wrap with Egg and You tiao

Traveling to Tamsui was easy. Head for MRT station, and proceed to change to the red line heading toward Tamsui and there we were.

Been to Tamsui, so it was easy to get around Tamsui Old Street (Some photo taking + ate street food + souvenirs hunting) before we proceeded to their shopping centre nearby.

souvenirs hunting

Snacking time

This is the MUST TRY milk mochi. Every time I visited Tamsui, this is my MUST-HAVE!

Shopping Centre. There was yet another NET store and we bought more!

After shopping, we took MRT back to Taipei Main Station for some Tendon!

After dinner, when we were heading back to hotel, happened to chanced upon live performance of musician/singer 0sensen at the underground shopping mall of Taipei Main Station.
