Saving up/Spending and get the maximum out of it

1. Earn Points while you spend
When spending is required, get the best out of it. Unless you are buying something that does not allow the use of Visa, else you can look at UOB debit/credit cards.

For students
Don't worry about having to open a saving account with a balance of $500. With UOB, you can apply their UOB campus card with a minimum of $100. (What I do not know is whether do you have to maintain the $100 but you can always asked them to verify these details). It is a Visa debit card (that means you will have to have the $ inside your account before you can do your shopping). where can earn points, where you can redeem the point for vouchers and their redemption categories and items

UOB Visa Campus Debit Card
Pros:
Minimum of $100 deposit
Earn points while you spend and redeem vouchers

Cons:
Sufficient funds to be in your account when you make payment

2. Getting higher interest even with normal savings account
As you know, most Savings account are offering 0.25% per annum interest.

Standard Chartered E-Savers
Pros:
0.8% per annum
Interest is credited to your account monthly instead of yearly

Cons:
2~3 working days for transfer of fund
$5 charges for withdrawal of fund from counters
Cardless and bookless, you only have a few documents to prove your account existence.

3. No minimum income credit card
This card that I am referring to, is the Citibank Clear Card offered by Citibank. Students and NSFs are all eligible to apply.

What you can enjoy:
"Citi Clear Card keeps up with your pace of life, offering you privileges around the clock. Enjoy privileges and discounts at over 600 merchant locations, from the hottest nightspots to coffee chains or cinemas to music and book stores." Source

Let me see whether I can find more...

And I still remembered vaguely months/years ago, I received a few of these emails, claiming free iPod/Mobile Phone/PSP etc which nothing happened after I followed through the requirements, spamming my dear friends' email inbox.

Therefore, this time round, I went to make a search and to my surpise~! I saw a few writers on this topic and verified my doubt, this is indeed a hoax.

Death Note Spin Off L: Change The World

Synopsis (Source from Encore Films Pte Ltd)
“The human whose name is written in the Death Note shall die.”

A God of Death dropped a notebook which had the power to kill people. Light Yagami (Tatsuya Fujiwara) found the notebook and tried to become Kira, God of a new crime-free world by executing criminals with the notebook. L (Kenichi Matsuyama), a genius detective confronted Kira who was his toughest enemy ever. At last, L managed to close the case of Kira but had to pay a painful price.

After making the hardest decision ever, another serious case confronts L. There are only 23 days left and without his best partner Watari (Shunji Fujimura), L has to solve the case all by himself for the very first time.

A boy and a girl hold the keys to solving this case and L had to get into a desparate situation to protect the kids. L has solved many cases previously through monitors and using his brain power as he has never appeared in public as L. This is the first and last case that he has to deal with people in person...

A person who obtains the most horrible weapon “Death God” created by human says the same thing as Kira... ”I am going to change the world.”

What will happen to L? Is anything in the world going to be changed? The turbulent 23 days even L cannot predict awaits him. The most exciting and moving countdown has now begun!

CAST
* Kenichi Matsuyama (Death Note; Death Note 2 - the Last name) as L
* Yuki Kudo (SAYURI, Rush Hour)
* Mayuko Fukuda (Sinking of Japan)
* Shunji Fujimura as Watari

Review
Went to watch with my two buddies and although I find it much better than Death Note (Part 2), they didn't have the same opinion as me. In what way better? Hm... The way that L had developed feelings/attachment with the two children, making him a much better person(than just being clever), and the hope to live.

What I was hoping though was that another new Shinigami (Death God) came to offer the little girl with the option to kill K and group but it would make the whole thing look too easy.

If you are planning to see a battle of wits, I doubt you will see it in this movie because there ain't that much thinking or should I say plotting. It's really focusing on L's last 23 day(To be exact, the last 14 days as the first 9 days was cut and paste clip from Death Note 2 with a few new scenes added in. Fans of Tatsuya Fujiwara or Erika Toda, you might want to give this a miss as the scene with them are clips from Death Note Part 2.

Moral of the story
Treasure everyday like tomorrow is the last(Something that I had hope to achieve too)
