Korean Snack HBAF Almonds - Wasabi VS Tteokbokki

Image
Years ago when I first tried the Wasabi Almond, I liked it. It was spicy that I had to drink lots of water and it was quite dry after a handful of it so it was really just 1 time attempt eating the almond. Years later, I saw it on Nego King "HBAF Almond" episode that I suddenly had the craved for them once again. (Gotta say the deal that Nego King gave was really good. A pity it wasn't available for international purchase) So... I bought the 2 flavors: Wasabi Almond (And I finished it within 2 days) Tteokbokki Almond (First time try, and still have half a pack to go) My friend got the Garlic Bread Almond and he commented that apart from Almond, there were bits of garlic bread as well. It was interesting. For the ones I got, it was pure Almond though.

Gindaco - must try!

Image
They are back again in Singapore. (They first came years ago but they left but now they are back! They were back for quite sometime but took me this long to revisit them at JCube) Gindaco  - Takoyaki When takoyaki was introduced to me, I wasn't a fan cos I like the batter but I ain't a seafood lover. So I always ordered takoyaki without tako (I opted for the ham and cheese filling) It was when my friend told me about this must try takoyaki that totally conquered my tastebud. The octopus piece was so nice and the takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft and melty fillings within. Topped with the takoyaki sauce with bonito flakes, everything is just so nice~~~~ Yes, I am referring to Gindaco . The takoyaki comes in 6pcs, 8pcs, 16pcs to 24pcs!! My usual order would be 8pcs as 6pcs isn't enough while 16pcs is a bit too much to finish on my own. And no.. I won't go for takeaway because I find it best to consume it on the spot.

Steamboat ala carte or buffet?!

Image
Argh... How to choose between eating more or eat better? It's difficult!  If ” Ala Carte “, I get to choose what I want to eat, and how much I set aside. But typically, I will spend more than buffet. Because I go for what I want to eat, without giving myself a strict restrain on the pricing. If " Buffet ", I will tend to overeat. Because I will want to try everything in small portions. Once I am done with a round of food tasting, I will go for more on those which I really enjoyed. Which I will ended up overeating because I just can't stop myself from going for more. Especially since it's buffet and in order not to have food wastage, I will make sure to clear up all the food. So conclusion is... NO CONCLUSION ! Most of the time, I will go for steamboat buffet because of the cost (fixed price) and wide selection (I can try all sort in small portion). As compared to ala carte, I normally will end up with a billed amount that's slightly above my or...
